Reasons and solutions for poor measurement repeatability of flash testers
Flash testers are favored by the manufacturing industry for their rapid measurement capabilities, but during use, problems with poor measurement repeatability sometimes occur.
1. Workpiece positioning is inconsistent
The measurement speed of the flash tester is extremely fast, and the consistency of the placement and angle of the workpiece during different measurements has a great impact on the results. It is recommended to use a special positioning fixture to ensure that the position and direction of the workpiece are consistent during each measurement.
2. Fluctuation in light source brightness
Small fluctuations in the brightness of the light source can affect image quality and lead to a decrease in measurement repeatability. It is recommended to check the stability of the light source regularly, preheat before use, and replace the light source if necessary.
3. Environmental vibration
Environmental vibration will cause image blur and affect measurement accuracy. It is recommended to place the flash tester on a stable workbench, away from sources of vibration (such as stamping equipment, air compressors, etc.).
4. Lens cleaning
When there is dust or oil on the lens surface, it will affect the image quality and measurement repeatability. It is recommended to clean the lens regularly with special lens tissue.
5. Temperature changes
Temperature changes in the working environment cause thermal expansion and contraction of the workpiece, affecting the measurement results. It is recommended to use it in a constant temperature environment. Place the workpiece in the environment for a period of time before measurement to stabilize its temperature.
