Comparison of applicable scenarios between coordinate measuring machines and image measuring instruments
Three coordinate measuring machineThe contact probe is used to obtain three-dimensional coordinate data by sampling point by point along the surface of the workpiece, which is suitable for precise measurement of complex three-dimensional workpieces.
Advantages:The measurement accuracy is high (up to 0.001mm), and it can measure complex three-dimensional curved surfaces and deep hole features. The measurement results are not affected by the color and reflection of the workpiece.
Applicable scenarios:Precision molds, complex curved surface parts, large structural parts, and workpieces that require three-dimensional space measurement.
Limitations:The measurement speed is slow and not suitable for batch testing; the equipment cost is high; and the technical requirements for operators are high.
Image measuring instrumentIt adopts optical imaging method and analyzes the image through software to complete the measurement. It is suitable for rapid measurement of two-dimensional planar workpieces.
Advantages:The measurement speed is fast, the operation is simple, suitable for batch inspection, non-contact measurement does not damage the workpiece, and the cost performance is high.
Applicable scenarios:Stamping parts, injection molded parts, PCB boards, precision hardware and other two-dimensional flat or thin-walled workpieces.
Limitations:Difficulty measuring deep holes and internal features, limited 3D measurement capabilities.
